Third-party notices

Updated October 14, 2026. Third-party licenses apply to their respective material. They are separate from the proprietary notice for GAHUM-owned code.

Software and fonts

The full inventory records versions, sources, modifications and unresolved permissions separately.

Maps and geographic data

© OpenStreetMap contributors. OpenStreetMap data is available under the Open Database License (ODbL). This includes the OSM-derived geography used in the 5-bus example. Map tiles and styles have provider-specific terms. The dark basemap uses OpenFreeMap and OpenMapTiles; the light basemap uses OpenStreetMap tiles. Overpass supplies OSM infrastructure data.

Keep the credits shown on each map. Copies or adaptations of data may carry additional attribution or share-alike duties; a report download is not a blanket license to redistribute source data. Maps are optional; the privacy notice explains the external requests.

The complete bundled five-point geography is available as an ODbL geographic extract, with attribution and an alteration account. The live infrastructure and corridor method describes the separately fetched data and synthetic routing joins. The geographic license adds no restrictions from GAHUM's code notice and does not apply to fictional electrical values, SLD coordinates or user-entered data merely because they appear alongside it.

Dark Matter map design and resources

The dark map uses OpenFreeMap's Dark Matter GL Style: © 2024 MapTiler.com & OpenMapTiles contributors; © 2015 CartoDB Inc. Its code is BSD-3-Clause and its design is CC BY 4.0. It derives from CartoDB Basemaps, designed by Stamen and Paul Norman for CartoDB Inc., under CC BY 3.0. GAHUM requests the provider's style without changing its JSON and draws the Power System separately.

The provider's shared sprite combines Liberty's Maki icons (CC0), a public-domain arrow, and Bright icons. Bright credits © 2016 KlokanTech.com & OpenMapTiles contributors and © 2014 Mapbox, with BSD-3-Clause code and CC BY 4.0 design terms. The sampled dark style uses Noto Sans Regular glyphs under SIL OFL 1.1. These resources are served by OpenFreeMap. Their original notices and source revisions are separate from the locally bundled UI fonts. Made with Natural Earth, whose raster data is public domain.

Example cases and standards

The 5-, 9- and 12-bus electrical cases and all SLD arrangements are original GAHUM teaching inputs authored on October 14, 2026. They replace the earlier textbook/unknown-source inputs and traced arrangements. The five-bus geographic subset remains separately licensed OSM data.

The retained 14-bus electrical/reference inputs come from PGLib-OPF v17.08, including its original-value notes, © 1999 Richard D. Christie, University of Washington, under CC BY 4.0. GAHUM applies study assumptions and an original SLD layout; read the changes and scope. The license applies to those data, independently of GAHUM's code terms.

The harmonic voltage-THD comparison uses reference thresholds attributed to IEEE 519-2014. It does not assess every requirement of that standard and does not establish IEEE compliance. IEEE standards remain the property of IEEE; see IEEE's permission information for reuse of standard content.

GAHUM is independent. Product names, formats, standards and organization names belong to their respective owners and imply no affiliation, endorsement or certification.
